LP - Sam Bourcy (1-4)

After a three week break, the Hogz were back in action against Karl Sabrowsky's team. As was to be expected, the team was a little rusty and unfortunately was matched up against the well-oiled visitors. The opponents started quick and scored 3 runs off 5 hits in the top of the first inning. The Hogz kept it close though, by picking up 8 hits themselves in the first two innings. This led to 3 runs, but they still found themselves behind 4-3 after two innings. Starting pitcher Sam Bourcy kept the game in reach for the Hogz as the bats cooled down over the next few innings. Coming into the sixth inning, the Hogz found themselves behind 7-4. Then the visitors exploded. Capitalizing on a bunch of errors and clutch hitting, the opponents scored 8 runs in the final two innings. The Hogz could only muster up two runs in the final innings on hits by Thomas, Kibler, Bourcy, and Fletcher. As was commonplace throughout the game, the visitors managed to throw out Kibler from the outfield at third to end any possible rally. Kibler, Fletcher, Bourcy, and Berglund all finished with multiple hits in the game.
