WP - Adam Backlund (4-0)

In another interesting game full of illegal pitching, light outages, and missed calls by the umpire, the Hogz pulled out a solid victory. The game was scoreless til the third inning, when first baseman, Brian Kibler sparked some life into the team with a solo homerun. Cy Young candidate Adam Backlund kept the Hogz's cool bats in the game and remained undefeated on the year by mixing a bunch of illegal pitches into his arsenal. Although, going into the sixth inning the Hogz found themselves behind 3-2. The Hogz batted through the order in the sixth by using some critical errors to score 7 runs, all with two outs. Backlund then shut the door on the opponents and picked up two critical strikeouts in the final innings. The Hogz defense played mind-blowlingly better in the second game and only recorded one error. It was a significant improvement from the 6 errors in the first game of the doubleheader. Hopefully the Hogz will be able to take their momentum from the second game into the second half of the season. The team has the next two weeks off for the All-Star break. Good luck to the players from the team who will be playing in the big game. Those include:
