LP - Sam Bourcy (1-3)

For the fourth straight week, the Hogz fell to the opponents in the first game of the night. From the get-go, the team from O'Leary's Pub was ready to play. With a mixture of hits and walks, the visitors scored 6 runs in the first inning against the Hogz starting pitcher, Sam Bourcy. Meanwhile, the Hogz struggled to score any runs early in the game. Power hitter Jordan Rusche muscled a 2-run home run to the outfield, but the Hogz still remained behind 12-5 after two innings. Bourcy controlled the opponents lineup for the next three innings, but ran into trouble again in the sixth. One hit, two walks, and a timely sacrifice fly gave the opponents an 11 run lead. Courageously, the Hogz didn't give up and their bats began to catch fire. In the next two innings, Kibler, Berglund, and Kunde picked up run-scoring hits to bring the Hogz within four. But it was too little, too late, and the Hogz dropped their fourth game of the year. The game was filled with rules violations, an always changing strikezone, and many errors. The umpire was unavailable for comment after the game.
