The Hogz started the game with guns a blazing, recording a quick 1-2-3 inning in the field with 2 K's by pitcher, Bourcy. In the bottom of the inning, Thomas sparked a 4 run rally with a 2 out single to right center. Lenarz, Rusche, Golling, Berglund, and Slette all fell in line, recording 2-out singles of their own. Unfortunately, the Ball Busters stopped the bleeding there, getting the next 12 of 13 batters from then on. The opponents chiseled away at the lead despite the Hogz's best defensive efforts including an unorthodox, yet effective 10-3-6 relay in the 2nd inning, ending with shorstop Thomas blocking the 2nd bag. With the bats going unusually cold for the Hogz, Hooligan's showed no mercy tallying 5 runs in the 4th, 2 more in the 6th and the final nail in the coffin in the top of the 7th.
