WP - Adam Backlund (2-0)
The Hogz responded in the second game of the doubleheader that was played at Prairie St. John's home field, Dill Hill. Led by Brian Kibler's three hits at the plate, the Hogz never let Prairie St. John's get into the game. In the 4th inning, pitcher Adam Backlund led off with a solid double to left field. Franny Janson and Kris Kunde followed up with singles and eventually scored in the inning. After 4, the Hogz were up 3-2. Backlund picked up his second win of the year on the mound as he froze the opponents bats throughout. In the top of the sixth, the team batting leader, Kris Kunde jacked a 2-run homerun over the fence in right field to seal the win for the Hogz. He not only hit well, but also teamed up with Kibler to somehow make an outstanding catch in the field. Berglund and Golling also made key defensive plays throughout the game and the Hogz defense won the game. The team ended with only one error in the field and zero walks.
