LP - Franny Janson (0-1)

Both teams came into the night undefeated for the season and tied for first in the league standings. Neither team would end the night without a loss. The Hogz started the game shorthanded after some confusion left the team short for girls. Franny Janson was thrown onto the mound with little warning and pitched well throughout the game. The first and fifth innings killed the Hogz in the field. In the first inning, Prairie St. John's first 5 batters scored runs partially due to the depleted Hogz defense. The Hogz responded in the second inning by scoring 6 runs, including one on a home run by power hitter Jordan Rusche. Over the next 3 innings, Janson struck out three and kept the Hogz in it. Going into the fifth inning the Hogz were down 9-7, but then the visitors opened it up. Capitalizing on 3 walks and 8 singles, Prairie St. John's put up a ten-spot on the scoreboard. The Hogz couldn't respond in the bottom of the inning and the game ended after 5 due to the 10-run rule. Thomas, Fletcher, and Kunde all finished the game with multiple hits.
